Bjork Earth Intruders: Here she comes again
Bjork is undoubtedly a polarizing artist, you love her, or you hate her…i tend to do a bit of both. My main gripe really being she tends to lack a sense of humor (take peaches as an example of someone who obviously enjoys a laugh even at her own expense). However I am not in much of a position to criticize the great queen of Icelandic electronica, as I am pretty much just a bedroom rocker these days. Bjork did win me over entirely when she lost her shit and smacked the bejesus out of that stupid reporter for being in close proximity to her bjorkspawn. Her performance and musical score for the devastating film Dancer in the Dark were amazing, and a pleasant surprise. Her new record Volta is slated for release May 7th and was mostly produced by Timbaland who has been recently been accused of some stealin’. the album will feature guest spots by goth crooner Antony, and if this first single is any indication will be a return to less experimental material than the previous vocal sample-a-thon Medulla.
